Partner in Demarest’s Dispute Resolution practice area, Tatiana Ferri holds a master’s degree (LLM) in Law from Queen Mary University of London, a specialization degree in Brazilian Civil Procedural Law from PUC-SP and in Administrative Law from FGV-SP, and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. She has extensive experience advising some of the largest infrastructure companies in Brazil on high-complexity (including cross-border) commercial arbitration cases. Among her main clients are companies in the oil and gas, energy, mining, insurance, and railroad sectors, among other infrastructure segments. She is licensed to practice both in Brazil and England.

  • Advised a Danish energy company in an international arbitration regarding the sale of a solar energy project in the state of Bahia.
  • Advised a Japanese joint venture in an ICC arbitration involving a dispute related to delays, loss of productivity, defect, and additional costs in the construction of an LNG development in Australia.
  • Advised a Brazilian construction company in litigation related to the enforcement of a judgment in Brazil and abroad.
  • Represented one of the largest energy companies in the world in an arbitration of the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC) against the owner of a hydroelectric power plant. The dispute is related to defects in the construction of the power plant.
  • Advised a large investment bank in the potential acquisition of litigation rights and the financing of an arbitration of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) filed by a Spanish company against Morocco seeking damages for violation against just and equal treatment and for undue expropriation of their investments in Brazil.
