ANM opens public call for contributions on the regulation of taxes that can be deducted from CFEM tax base

On November 10, 2022, Brazil’s National Mining Agency (“ANM”) opened a public call for contributions on the regulation of Law No. 13,540/2017.
Public Call No. 1/2022 provides for the regulation of taxes that can be deducted from the tax base of the Financial Compensation for Mineral Resource Exploitation (“CFEM”). The topic has been widely discussed by the sector and its impacts are significant.
ANM will receive contributions until December 09, 2022.
