Pablo Queiroz and his team join the firm with a focus on the transactional market, particularly on transactions involving real estate investment funds
Demarest Advogados, one of the most respected law firms in Brazil and Latin America, has announced Pablo Queiroz as a new partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice area.
This hiring aligns with Demarest’s 2024-2026 strategic plan to foster business opportunities in the real estate sector, which has significant growth potential across various segments, including logistics, shopping centers, industrial, hospitality, and corporate and residential buildings.
Pablo Queiroz holds a master’s degree in Business Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). In 2016, he attended the Academy of American and International Law at the Center for American & International Law in the United States. He has also been recognized by Chambers Brazil, Latin Lawyer 250, The Legal 500, and Análise Advocacia 500, among other prominent legal rankings and publications.
Pablo will bolster Demarest’s Real Estate team with more than 20 years of experience representing Brazilian and international clients. He concentrates his practice on transactions involving purchase and sale of real estate assets, investment fund transactions, structured operations (with different trading models between investors and parties building, renting, or selling real estate), and the development of complex projects, including infrastructure projects.
“The real estate sector is so diverse that even in a challenging economic landscape, there is potential to attract new investments and generate major transactions within the scope of logistics, data centers, offices, and shopping centers, not to mention segments still pending regulation, such as casinos and resorts”, says Pablo.
Five new associates will join Demarest with Pablo, three of whom specialize in Real Estate – Eric Okino, Elisa Gandur, and Paula Nogueira. “We will strive to increase Demarest’s relevance in the market, particularly in the transactional segment, to further consolidate its position as an elite law firm in Brazil. Demarest’s strategic positioning and our shared business perspective give me great confidence for the future”, he added.
Aligned with the firm’s strategic plan, Managing Partner Paulo Rocha emphasized the crucial role of the real estate sector in expanding the firm’s business. He highlighted the importance of providing exceptional services to clients and new companies within a segment that enables sustainable business development.
“Pablo and his team will reinforce and bolster our Real Estate practice area with their experience in the private and public sectors, representing clients in complex and diverse transactions, and assisting market players that require innovative solutions, be it in negotiating agreements or making corporate arrangements that provide for the particularities of investing in an increasingly in demand and sophisticated segment in Brazil”, says Paulo.
